Why I Ride

I ride for those that can't or who never can. I ride for those that come into our lives but are taken far too soon. I ride to give hope to those and their families who are still fighting that they can beat this. I bike for my friends and family who have known first hand the effects cancer can have on a person.

I ride for those who might not be as fortunate as others to get the care and information they need. To offer support and help where I can in impacting someone's day or life in a positive manner. To ride to Alaska means being able to impact change and good fortune to those outside of my immediate community and providing aid in a national manner.

Texas 4000 to me offers so much to so many and I'm beyond blessed to take part in its amazing mission. To offer knowledge, hope, and charity to so many people. To give support where it's needed and to impact change to those around me. I ride for my aunts, my godmother, Miss Lynn, and so many others who have come through my life that have been affected by this disease.

I also, ride for my teammates and all the stories they have as well. I ride to support them in our shared journies and to be an ally and friend to them. I can't wait to make it to Alaska with them.

I hope to ride for anyone that reads this. I want to hear how cancer has affected your life so that I have the opportunity to ride for you throughout my journey.
