About: Born and raised in Austin, TX I love to spend time exploring my hometown by trying new restaurants, walking around downtown, and taking advantage of Austin's colorful art scene. Additionally, my mother Amy, and I enjoy running half marathons to raise money for fundraisers we care about (like T4K!).
When I am not focusing on my WGS major and journalism minor, I like to spend time with friends in my spirit organization, Absolute Texxas, listen to podcasts, play the electric bass, paint, hang out with my family and boyfriend, Seamus, a 2018 rider, and watch Netflix documentaries.
I am so excited and honored to be a part of the 2020 Texas 4000 Team and cannot wait to spread hope, knowledge, and charity during me and my team's journey to Alaska!

Why I Ride

I am riding for my mother, Amy, who lost her mother to breast cancer when she was only 25, and her mother was 50. When most of us think about cancer, we think about the people it takes away, but not always the people it leaves behind. My mother is my best friend and my soulmate. I could not imagine my life without her, and I hate thinking about her, losing her mother when she was not much older than I am now.
