Why I Ride

I am riding for the families struggling to redefine themselves after a loss and for those who are not able to ride. I believe in the power of hope and its ability to heal. It is an intangible feeling that can keep people going long after treatment and medicine. People want to know that someone out there cares about them and wants them in this world. If I can be that for just one person, I will have succeeded in my mission. I will ride for those who passed too soon and the family of every fighter. In addition, for those who do not have this opportunity to ride. I am beyond grateful to have this opportunity to support such a strong community of fighters. But, this is not just the fight of those diagnosed; this is our fight. Cancer does not pick poor people or rich people, nor does it discriminate against race. It is not sexist. It can affect anyone, and this should bring us together as one community, fighting to do what we can.
