Why I Ride

Through family and friends, I have seen the corrosive and debilitating effects cancer can have on patients and communities. It is difficult to describe the emotions of watching those close to me suffer tremendously at the expense of cancer and feeling like there was little I could do. Despite these experiences, I have seen the phenomenal prospects that medical advancements and research have to offer in the fight against cancer. My interest in research and strong desire to alleviate human suffering through a career in medicine compelled me to join the Texas 4000 organization. I ride for all of those who have been made to suffer at the hands of cancer. In particular, I ride for the following individuals and their families: Lakshmi Ammama, Mali Thatha, Jana Thatha, Jacie Moore, Harpaige Gill, Jim and all of my amazing Texas 4000 teammates.
