About: Hi friends!

My name is Alec, and I am a junior at the University of Texas at Austin studying to get my degree in Environmental Science. Born in New Jersey to my amazing parents, Kevin and Shannon, I lived an hour outside of the excitement of the Big Apple for the first 10 years of my life. Wanting a change of lifestyle, my parents and I then migrated to Corpus Christi, Texas, where I spent the next 8 years making great friends and living out the rest of my grade-school years.

College has been a tad bit different than high school; as treasurer of UT's nationally ranked collegiate rock climbing team, employee at the Campus Environmental Center, and now a member of Texas 4000, it is safe to say that life has been a whirlwind of me freaking out about that test next week, trying not to fall off cliffs, and bugging people about being more environmentally conscious. Despite being a bit stressful at times, I am incredibly thankful for the opportunities that college has afforded me, especially Texas 4000.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read my profile and joining me on my journey to Alaska and in the fight against cancer.
