About:

I was born and raised in the largest populated country in the world, so I refuse to be just a number. Born five weeks premature, it was doubtful I would grow to be a healthy child, but look at me now. From day one, I became a fighter and it did not stop there.

Moving to America from India has opened my eyes to the massive world around me. I am thankful to my parents for this opportunity. It is hard to believe that I evolved from a shy little girl to the animated woman you see today.

I found a passion for learning within myself that I never knew existed. The University of Texas has opened many doors for me, and I am very fortunate to be here. All in all, I am a very driven person who will not let anyone or anything get in my way of achieving my goals.

Why I Ride

I am fortunate enough to say that I have not been affected by cancer the way that many of my teammates have, but I still ride with a purpose.

I ride for those across the globe who have been oppressed solely due to their gender or their ethnicity. I refuse to let anyone tell me I am not capable enough because I am a girl or competent enough because of the color of my skin. My physical attributes have never stopped me from achieving great things in life - unfortunately, other cannot say the same. There are many parts of the world, including my home country, which believe that young girls do not require an education or that the darker the skin, the less desirable. So that being said...

I ride for HOPE that our society will grow and learn from the past.
I ride for KNOWLEDGE and education to be easily accessible to everyone.
I ride for CHARITY to be a fundamental part of our daily lives.

Work hard. Play Harder.
