About: Hi there! My name is Lyndsey. Thank you for taking the time to visit my page! I am a Plan II and history junior from Austin, TX. Some fun facts about me: I enjoy going to museums, visiting national parks, and wandering around Costco!

Why I Ride

Cancer does not discriminate. Cancer can impact anyone at anytime. It does not care whether or not someone is young or old, rich or poor. I ride to fight against cancer’s life changing power.

I was originally hesitant to apply for Texas 4000 because my immediate family has not been touched by cancer. Nevertheless, in the summer of 2018, I had the privilege of shadowing a pediatric oncologist. I was moved by the strength of the children in the pain they endured, the endless worry on parents’ faces, the joy when a child was cancer free, and the countless emotions in between.

I ride for the little boy who wanted nothing more than to go to school. I ride for the little girl who passed away before her 12th birthday. I ride for anyone and everyone who’s been touched by this disease.

If you’d like to take part in the fight against cancer, join me and help me reach my fundraising goal.
