About:

Khoi - (like the fish, but with a ninja ”˜h’)

I was born and raised in Houston, TX by my two amazing parents, Vi and Thuy, and make up one-fifth of the chaos that is the Truong siblings. Growing up in a large family has taught me a couple of things. (1) The expected turnaround time for food in the fridge is at max, one week. (2) Road trips are the default method when traveling. (3) Santa is real. My family and friends are my inspiration, my heroes, and my home. I could never thank them enough for the love and support they unconditionally give.

I’m currently a senior majoring in Engineering Route to Business with concentrations in Management Information Systems and Mechanical Engineering. Whenever I’m not studying or coding in the lab, I’m usually staying active outdoors, hanging out with friends, eating, volunteering around the community or checking out some live music around Austin.

Travelling the world has always been a dream of mine, and I consider trying out new food a hobby. The show No Reservations has ingeniously combined these two passions and I hope to one day be able to live that lifestyle ”“ minus the foods that look like they should be part of a Fear Factor segment. Tennis is both fun and stress relieving, and learning how to swim efficiently is a skill I’m determined to learn.

Why I Ride

Cancer. This merciless disease sadly serves as a universal language that we all understand; however, it can also act as a link that unites us against a cause ”“ finding a cure. I strongly believe that hope is one of the most powerful contributions we can provide other’s with during this fight. Helping others realize that cancer can be beaten is the first step towards a cure.

I ride for those who will struggle with cancer. For those who are currently fighting cancer. For those who have lost their lives to cancer. For those who have BEATEN cancer. And for everyone else who has been affected in any way by this sickness. Their stories provide the fuel and motivation to ride on. I ride for those who are fighting this disease alone. May Texas 4000 provide the hope and support they need to push through.

I ride for You.
