About:

I was born into this world in 1990 across the Atlantic Ocean in Cambridge, England. After living in Boston and Scotland, I moved to Austin, Texas when I was 8. I spent my childhood exploring the great outdoors, climbing trees, running around bare foot, catching bugs, and following my imagination to the land of fairies. Many of my evenings were spent in dance class through middle and high school. I participated in a dance company and became one with the stage. I was lucky to have amazing teachers that encouraged exploring the inner soul, to dance from within, and to form a connection with those around you. Dancing has had a monumental effect on my life, teaching me valuable lessons and an appreciation for all forms of art. I recently developed a new affection for yoga, and I enjoy spending time wandering around the greenbelt. I am currently working towards a BS in neurobiology and I love every second of it. I enjoy learning, trying new things, and challenging myself; it’s the only way to improve. More times than not, I have a big smile on my face and try to surround myself with positive people that love life just because!

Why I Ride

With a mother in the medical field and a father who researches cancer, I have been aware of cancer from a very early age. Unfortunately everyone is susceptible to this horrific disease, no matter how much you exercise, how well you eat, or how young you are. It is an extremely complex, detrimental disease, puzzling thousands of researchers around the world today. There have been many advances, but we need more!

Riding to Alaska will give me the chance to be part of this battle against cancer. I am here to spread the knowledge about cancer prevention and to spread the hope that one day, cancer will not be an everyday concern in our lives.

I ride for my granddad, my family, my friends, and EVERYONE battling cancer out there, one way or another!

Stay Positive, Stay Strong.

With LOVE.
