I am incredibly ambitious to be obscenely wealthy in the currency of happiness.

Through my twenty years, I have found that who I am is a very fluid concept, but I have felt the strongest sense of identity through serving others. I thrive on throwing myself into challenging projects be they athletic, academic, or of a spiritual nature.

I am a hard worker, terrible speller, and have a tendency to think on a grand scale. I am a fun loving guy, always keen to meet new people and do new things. I like being outdoors whether it is playing football, kayaking, or just reading a book; I subscribe to the motherly tenant that too much television does in fact rot your brain. I strive to be the best in everything I do. I think how much fun you can have is directly related to the people you surround yourself with, so whatever the task at hand, say a puzzle or biking 4500 miles, can be a most fun and memorable experience.

Why I Ride

Personal Statement:

My grandmother has beaten three different types of cancer: breast, colon, and skin. I realize she is not the rule, rather the exception, but she provides hope ”“ hope that I can spread across the nation.

Its cancer, why would I not do all I can to help?
