About:

I am originally from beautiful Indiana. I played high school football, choir, and was involved in many student clubs. Upon graduation i enlisted in the US Army as a Flight medic and i served 4 interesting years. I finally made it to Texas in 2001, but i had to go to Korea, Oklahoma, and Iraq first.
Now I spend my days walking the 40 acres going to class and cheering on my Longhorns. This spring I will graduate with my second degree, a B.S. in Human Development and Family Science.
My hobbies keep me sane. I am an amateur magician and i have more Pez dispensers than one would think another should have. I also have a sunglasses collection that would rival many a female's shoe or purse collection.

Why I Ride

Two men are walking down a beach. One man bends over, picks up a starfish and throws it back into the ocean. He finds another, and throws that one back into the sea as well. The other gentleman was kind of perplexed by this and said, “Why are you doing that? Don’t you know that you can’t make that much of a difference to all the starfish out here on this beach?” “I know, he replied as he threw another one in. But I just made a difference to that one.” The things that we do today will help out others in the future. At some point in time somebody, someplace made a donation, or volunteered their time. Those efforts helped to save the lives of our relatives and friends. By raising money for cancer, we are continuing the circle. It is our way of repaying those who helped us, and in turn we are providing assets so more research can be done, and more lives can be saved. I know that I cannot find the cure for cancer, but I can use my resources to help someone else make it to that next hospital appointment, or make the financial burden a little smaller, or perhaps even find a cure. Sure we cannot make a difference in everybody’s life, but I am positive that we can make a difference to one person.
