About:
I grew up and went to school here in Austin, played football for nine years and spent considerable time either outdoors, with friends, or playing the guitar.
After high school I spent two years as a full time missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints serving in both northern Utah and Wyoming.
At the completion of my missionary service I returned to Austin and started taking classes at ACC and working with a friend who had his own landscaping business.
Within a year of classes and working in landscaping I had the opportunity to take over another lawn care operation and became the owner and operator of a small lawn care service that I ran for a year and half, while still going to school.
As I furthered my academic career, I realized I needed more time and energy to focus on school, so I sold my lawn service.
I have since transferred to UT and am pursuing a degree in nutritional science while fulfilling the pre-requisites for medical school.
This past March, during my first semester at UT I was married to my beautiful wife and we now happily reside in South Austin while I continue my education and she teaches eighth grade spanish.
Why I Ride
Since elementary school I have known of the terrible effects of cancer, which has led me to a strong interest in its major causes and what can be done to better understand and prevent it.
Through considerable personal research, classes I have taken and formal training I have come to the conclusion that most chronic disease, including cancer, can be prevented and/or reversed with the right combination of medical treatment, nutritional improvement, and lifestyle adjustment.
I have an intense desire to assimilate as much information as possible in regards to cancer, as well as enable the entire community of cancer research, treatment and prevention to grow as fast as possible.
