About: Hello all! I am not your ordinary girl, no! I don't mean I have super powers either, just that I am strange in lovely ways. I am a student in Austin, TX and am currently an undeclared major. Just too many fun subjects to explore! I grew up all over the states, but Texas is home more than any other place. I have been a RMT (Registered Massage Therapist) for about 3-4 years now and I love massage! I graduated from Texas Healing Arts Institute of Austin. Massage school was a wonderful experience! I am a HUGE lover of art and music. I am often referred to as a "Hippie" by my friends because I have a tremendous love and curiosity for culture, animals, oceans, and our mother earth.
Why I Ride
Wow, where to start... There are so many beautiful things to say about this whole adventure called Texas 4000. My first memory of cancer was when I lost my great grandfather, Pete. I remember how quickly it took him, and how shocked I was as a child to discover the reality of cancer. And I hardly even knew my mother's father because he was taken by cancer before I was old enough to have memories of him. There are numerous other stories about my loved ones which connect me to cancer, but I feel like mine are small in comparison to many others. Why? I'm not sure, but I know there are people out there who need us to do this for them and who can benefit greatly from our time and love.
