About: My name is Elizabeth Roehm. I currently study Geography at University of Texas and work in a coffeeshop. Though Iâ??m living in my hometown of Austin, I love to travel. There is so much of the United States I have yet to see, so the ride to Alaska will give me a great overview of the American West.
I love learning about new people, dancing to awesome music, splashing around in the pool, going for bike rides, talking to strangers, and just relaxing with my friends. I canâ??t wait for this bike ride adventure.

Why I Ride

Because it is so widespread, varied, and deadly, cancer is a distressing disease on a national level. However, personal stories are what really demonstrate cancerâ??s reputation of devastation. The intimate knowledge of the disease by those who have experienced it firsthand show how intense and distressing diagnosis with cancer can be for an individual. I hate to think that anyone must go through this, or watch someone they love.
I feel really fortunate to have the opportunity to make a significant contribution to an organization that works to relieve their suffering as well as prevent more people from developing the disease.
