About: I was born in Detroit, Michigan and moved to Plano, TX when I was 8. I'm a junior at UT double majoring in International Business and Plan I History. I love reading, watching movies, scuba diving, and eating sushi. Last summer, I traveled abroad with my professors to Europe to study World War II as part of the Normandy Scholar Program. I am traveling abroad next year to meet beautiful women in Spain and Argentina. I've decided that I really enjoy Austin and UT and plan to spend as long as possible here before I am forced to graduate.

Why I Ride

In his final letter before he died, Paul the Apostle said "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith." I have joined Texas 4000 to do just that - to literally finish the race to Alaska in order to do my part to fight cancer. I have personally lost two grandparents to cancer and am riding in memory of the grandmother I never met, Eleanor Foutch.

I look forward to seeing the country and telling my friends in the future that I was able to ride a bike across the country. But that's not the reason that I'm riding. I'm riding to promote awareness and to do what I can to bring hope and knowledge to cancer victims across the country. My desire to make a difference will be the force that keeps my legs pedaling.
