About: I was born and raised in Upstate New York (Fairport, suburb of Rochester). When I was in high school, I thought about becoming a geology major in college, but people kept telling me that if I wanted a good job in that field, I'd probably have to live someplace like Texas (which I probably wouldn't like, they told me). ...so I did my undergrad work in civil engineering in Pennsylvania and wouldn't you know, I ended up here anyway...for grad school. I just graduated from UT in Environmental Engineering and I'm looking forward to being part of this team and going on this trip!

Why I Ride

I doubt that there is anyone in the US who hasn't had his or her life affected by cancer. Sometimes people lose the battle with cancer, but others, like my grandma, win. I want to make a contribution to helping more people win that battle. I look forward to serving others through this team and making some awesome friends (and muscles) along the way!
