About: I am a junior MIS major and Computer Science minor here at the University of Texas. Outside of Texas 4000, I am involved in the Undergraduate Business Council and The Tejas Club. Apart from school, I love exercising and being outside. I am also currently training for my first triathlon.

Why I Ride

I ride for Subhu Uncle, my best friend’s dad. He was someone I would see at least 3 days a week, someone who cooked me dinner, someone who watched movies with us, and someone who talked me through problems (regardless of them being elementary or middle school problems). He passed away from colon cancer when I was in 8th grade and was someone who I looked to for hope and determination. I swam competitively from the age of 7 and Subhu Uncle was the one who encouraged me to join the sport. The sport made me who I am today, gave me a sense of purpose throughout school, and is the sole reason I was able to fight mental health issues in the past. I can’t do anything to repay him for introducing me to my favorite part of life, but the least I can do is ride for him, and provide hope to others who are going through what he had gone through.
