About: Hello! My name is Priyanka Bhasi, and I am currently a freshman at UT Austin studying Biochemistry on the pre-med track and in the Polymathic Scholars program. Ever since high school, I have been interested in policy and health intersection, so I am planning on also taking on the Social Inequality, Health, and Policy certificate.
Outside of Texas 4000, I am a part of Kappa Rho, a female pre med honors society, Kesem, an org similarly dedicated to children affected by cancer, and SEAL, which promotes English and Spanish literacy to Austin elementary schoolers. Besides the academics, I like to bake a lot (please try the NYT’s espresso chocolate cookies), explore local Austin shops, food, and trails with friends, binge watch tv-series in any language, and play cards (teach me a new game).
