About: I am a senior at UT Austin studying Neuroscience with a minor in Italian. Medical school is the current plan for the future, and I hope to one day be involved in cancer research and translating discoveries into better more effective treatments. I am beyond excited to ride this summer, and to continue the fight against cancer long after my ride.
Why I Ride
Cancer has affected my family in many ways. Pain, fear, anguish are the emotions and feelings I have felt because of it.
My mother was diagnosed with cancer 5 years ago. I will never forget the intense struggle it was seeing her go through chemotherapy. The fear and pain I felt at the thought of losing my mom have emboldened me to do my part to see cancer end.
Cancer continues to be a threat to health and society, a danger that I want to eradicate. I ride because no one deserves to experience the hurt and pain of this disease.
