About: I'm the daughter of Laura and Tony Swaldi- my two biggest heroes. I was raised in the suburbs of Dallas with my sister and brother. It was during my early years that my deep appreciation for the natural world developed and has continued to shape a lot of who I am today.
I enjoy good books, cooking, photography, and a medley of other quirky interests.

My hopes and dreams involve seeing the world and learning what it means to be a part of it all.

The biggest excitement for me is the unknown!

Why I Ride

There’s nothing more painful than seeing someone you love suffer while knowing there is nothing you can do to ease their pain. Helplessly witnessing the toughest man I knew, struggle through the terminal illness of mesothelioma revealed to me the real devastation of this disease. I ride for my Grandpa Steve. The legacy that he has left is a key source of inspiration for me in this endeavour.

I ride for Sandy Heidtke- a coach, a mom, a spirited Aggie, and a strong-willed, faithful warrior. I witnessed how her courageous battle impacted so many people. After letting go this past spring to Stage IIII melanoma, Mrs. Heidtke left me with the important lesson of what it means to live life to the fullest.

I believe there is a hopeful window into our future where we will one day have a cure to cancer. I’ve seen great things cancer research can do with the stories of my Grandma Coco and Aunt Connie.
I ride for my Grandma Coco, a survivor of breast cancer, and my Aunt Connie, a survivor of Stage IIII colon cancer. Both women are still with us enjoying a good quality life due to the advances made in cancer research.

I ride for the life of Mr. Gawlick.
