BRYAN, Tex. (KBTX) – A group of Longhorns had a quick visit to Aggieland, but it’s for a very good cause.

21 bicycle riders from the University of Texas came through Bryan and College Station for the Texas 4000.

The local Texas Exes Chapter hosted the riders overnight and at The Kettle in Bryan Tuesday morning for breakfast.

They are riding from Austin to Anchorage, Alaska over 70 days to raise money to fight cancer and educate people they meet along the way about cancer prevention.

Monday the group rode from Temple to Fuddrucker’s in College Station, where they had dinner and gave a presentation about their trip.

This group is taking an Ozarks Route while two other teams will go through the Rockies and Sierras.
