Texas 4000 Arrives in Anchorage
The Texas 4000 is the longest charity bike ride in the world—from Texas to Alaska. Scott Crews, the executive director, and Courtney Becker, the development manager with Texas 4000, joined Daybreak to discuss the ride and why it’s so important to them.
The bike ride has raised over 700 thousand dollars for cancer research so far this year and will arrive in Anchorage Friday evening. A welcome celebration will be held at the Alaska Airlines Center at 5 p.m. with guest speaker Mayor Ethan Berkowitz.
Visit texas4000.org to learn about the individual bikers and what caused them to embark on the journey.
