About: Hi. I'm Josh Bower, son of Craig and Pam Bower, and brother to Jeffrey Bower. I’m from a Dallas suburb called Argyle. I love to travel and have been blessed to have awesome parents who took me all over the world. That led me to study Spanish in high school and now at UT, and it has given me an even greater opportunity to engage in one of my other favorite things to do – talk to people. I love living in Texas because I get a chance to speak to so many Hispanics. I'm also an Economics major, but that’s a lot less interesting to most folks. In spring of 2014 I joined Texas Wranglers and met some of the best men I have ever known.

After I graduate I'd like to move to South America or Spain and do research or find a job for a few years. I'm not exact on the specifics but the key is to do something out of the ordinary, not to sell my life away just yet, and have some fun in the meantime.

Why I Ride

I ride because I can. I am able and in good health, and not everyone has the luxury of saying that. In Texas 4000 I see a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference. I ride to put a face on the fight against cancer. I ride to fight for those who cannot ride. I ride to spread love, to let people know that they're not alone in the struggle. The more I meet my teammates the more blessed I feel. For many of them, cancer hits very close to home. Although cancer has been in my extended family I feel blessed to say that it has never taken the life of anyone close to me in my life. Nonetheless, I ride for the family that it has affected. I ride for the people who I have yet to meet and for the friends that are currently struggling.

Let’s ride.
