The outdoors has always been a big part of my life. Even though I was born in Dallas, I have always searched for outdoor activities. During my high school years I was cheerleading, playing lacrosse and recruiting rock climbing partners. My most fond memories were spending my summers and holidays in Telluride, Colorado where I would spend my days hiking, riding my bike, rock climbing and skiing. As time grew close for college, I wanted to attend a school near a beach. I almost ended up in California and then I fell in love with Austin. The people and amount of culture that surrounds Austin is one very unique to Texas. I truly love meeting new people and learning about them and their past experiences. I think it helps me better understand who I am and who I strive to be. The music and arts are also a big part of my life. I enjoy painting as a hobby. I feel I can express myself and dedicate time to reflection when I have a paintbrush in my hand. Life is too short to not enjoy and experience as much as possible. You must always live every day as it is your last!
