I was born in Houston, Texas in June of ’88. I'm the third of four Parham children and am thankful to be part of such a fabulous crew.

I grew up playing a variety of sports averagely and enjoying most of them. I spent my first summer in the Rockies at eleven and have been back every season since. I can't wait to see it all by bike!

I’m now studying geology at the University of Texas and hope to one day romp around the mountains under the banner of earth science. My most recent inclination is to work in the field of hydrogeology, studying ground and surface water, keeping it clean, and figuring out how to deliver it to those in need.

I look forward to Texas 4000 as an opportunity to push myself in an entirely new way. I ride for everyone I've ever known and ever will know; I ride for everyone whose life ever has been or ever will be touched by cancer.

As always, summertime can not come soon enough.

Cancer is callous. It creeps and it sneaks and it makes no apologies. It stops in uninvited, never acts politely, and is rarely easy to get rid of.

But it can be done. Hope and action are our strongest allies.

I’m hoping for earlier detection and improved prevention. I’m hoping for fiercer treatments, better care, and fewer recurrences. I’m hoping for a cure.

I want to act in the biggest, most effective way I can. Texas 4000 provides that opportunity. I look forward to raising awareness across the continent and helping to make sure each cancer patient knows that they are not fighting alone, and no one is giving up.
