Biography
Hello all! I am not your ordinary girl, no! I don't mean I have super powers either, just that I am strange in lovely ways. I am a student in Austin, TX and am currently an undeclared major. Just too many fun subjects to explore! I grew up all over the states, but Texas is home more than any other place. I have been a RMT (Registered Massage Therapist) for about 3-4 years now and I love massage! I graduated from Texas Healing Arts Institute of Austin. Massage school was a wonderful experience! I am a HUGE lover of art and music. I am often referred to as a "Hippie" by my friends because I have a tremendous love and curiosity for culture, animals, oceans, and our mother earth.
Personal Statement
Wow, where to start... There are so many beautiful things to say about this whole adventure called Texas 4000. My first memory of cancer was when I lost my great grandfather, Pete. I remember how quickly it took him, and how shocked I was as a child to discover the reality of cancer. And I hardly even knew my mother's father because he was taken by cancer before I was old enough to have memories of him. There are numerous other stories about my loved ones which connect me to cancer, but I feel like mine are small in comparison to many others. Why? I'm not sure, but I know there are people out there who need us to do this for them and who can benefit greatly from our time and love.
