I was born in Fort Worth, TX then at the age of 7 I moved to Southlake, TX. Then after graduating from Southlake Carroll, go dragons, I went to UT at Arlington for a year and now this is my first year at Austin. I am studying Advertising with a minor in psychology and marketing. During high school I was a cross country and a track runner for the school. I have a lot of fun memories with that and I still run today but I have gone as far as I will be able to reach with that. So this is why Iā??m taking up cycling I would love a new challenge to push my limits. Hopefully someday Iā??ll be a tri-athlete.

I am blessed because no one in my family has ever suffered from the disease but I have had many of teachers and friends of who have had cancer. Iā??ve watched my friends deal with the pain and suffering of having family members go through chemotherapy and then in some even have to bury them. I want to help because I couldnā??t even fathom losing a family member to cancer. I feel like this is an amazing way to help. Any pain I feel during the trip I know will never come close to the pain my friends have felt losing someone.
