Biography

I am the son of immigrants. I traveled a lot when I was kid, living in Saudi Arabia for two years among other things. My tribe settled in the town of Sugar Land when the First Colony Mall was just a huge field. I grew playing on many athletic teams in many sports, basketball, swimming, karate, fencing, but my first love has always been soccer. Yet no matter what history you have in athletics, it barely helps in cycling, because in this sport there is a high importance put on endurance and experience. The dimensions of the rider's body parts takes a back seat.

Personal Statement

My reason for joining Texas 4000 has certainly evolved into touching the lives of the less-fortunate suffering through cancer. But at the time I joined the organization, my family nor I had never been particularly polluted by any connection to cancer, so it's difficult for me to fully grasp the victories and despairs many of my fellow riders have experienced with the disease. What I do want from this ride however is a newfound respect for life and my virtues of humility and modesty.
