About: Hey, my name is Victoria Muckerson and I'm a senior biology pre-med major at the University of Texas at Austin! I was born in Fort Hood and raised in the #1 place to retire in Texas, the grand ol' city of Georgetown. I was very involved in sports growing up and played elite soccer for 14 years. I have three older brothers and an extreme curiosity for new experiences that led me to participating in cross country, track, pole vaulting, figure skating, and boxing before coming to college. I also love helping people and I'm so excited to be a part of Texas 4000 where, not only do I get to bring hope to those touched by cancer, I have the privilege of doing so in a fun, adventurous setting and biking to Alaska with incredible people!

Why I Ride

I ride for Mrs. Nancy who has been a huge inspiration in my life and has successfully won her fight with breast cancer. She is my dad's best friend's wife and has always been a part of my life and was a positive female role-model for me growing up. She is one of the strongest, most positive people I have had the pleasure of knowing and I thank God for her remission everyday.
I also ride for my grandmére who has Alzheimer's disease. Though it's not cancer, Alzheimer's is a terrible disease that not only affects the person who has it, but has a very strong emotional effect on their loved ones as well. Though my grandmére is very much alive, the toll of her disease is extremely hard on our family when she fails to recognize one of us.
So I dedicate my ride not only to cancer patients but to anyone who has battled or been affected by any life threatening disease.
