About: Although I was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, I moved to Texas when I was one and consider myself to be a natural-born Texan. I grew up in a suburb of Houston, and although it was nice and cozy, the lack of diversity in the community made me yearn to branch out and explore the world. For this reason, coming to UT was an enlightening experience, as I was able to meet a huge array of people and see different outlooks on life. I also love staying active, making it a point to exercise daily. I play Frisbee, have a black belt in karate, bike 20-30 miles a week, and engage in a wide variety of sports with my friends.

Why I Ride

I ride for those who have suffered the torments of cancer, as well as their families have been along the entire time. I ride for those who aren’t able to pay for their cancer treatment, those currently undergoing treatment, and those who have been lost to the battle.
I ride for myself, who at the age of 16, was diagnosed with cancer, and for all the other children who have been threatened by this disease. I ride for those who have been battling cancer for years and who are ready to give up the fight. I ride for the cancer patients in third world countries who don’t have access to the proper medical care. I ride for undiagnosed people whose lives will be shaken by their doctor’s unfortunate news. I ride for the countless number of people who, unknowingly, will develop cancer one day.
