Why I Ride

"I ride for those who are currently experiencing cancer, for those who have experienced cancer, and for those who have yet to experience cancer."

I wouldn't wish it upon anybody to have to say goodbye to a loved one abruptly. Nobody deserves to miss people who have affected their lives so closely. This disease runs amok and it causes people to change, it causes dreams to be broken, and it can create a sense of hopelessness. First and foremost, I ride for Stephen, a best friend (a brother, really) who I lost to Leukemia in high school. I ride so that our loved ones don't have to say goodbye so soon. I ride so that people don't have to change their lives or lose their dreams to such a nasty disease. I ride for you.
