About:

Well hello there! I am Texan by heart and I bleed orange. I lived half of my life in Salado, Texas and then my family put down new roots in Denton, Texas. I graduated salutatorian of my high school class and I was packed up to go to college before I even walked across the stage. Who would want to wait to be a Longhorn? ;)

I grew up catching fireflies in jars, eating popsicles on hot days, and going on long bike rides with friends on dirt roads. After moving to Denton at age 13, I developed a love for volleyball and running. I ran and played my heart out all through high school. I continued my love for both by playing on the UT Women's Club Volleyball team, winning the NCVF Women's Club Volleyball Div II Championships in 2012 and 2013, and competing in multiple 5K, 10K, 10 mile races as well as finishing a 15 mile Spartan Race.

Traveling and medicine are some passions in my life. I studied abroad in Buenos Aires, Argentina for 6 weeks with a Spanish and Medicine program during the summer of 2012. I also traveled to South India for 2 weeks where I worked in a rural clinic with Foundation of International Medical Relief of Children during the summer of 2013. I plan to pursue a career in medicine, specifically working with children who have special needs. I plan on receiving a B.A. in Cultural Anthropology with a minor in Biology in May of 2015. I am also working on a Capstone Thesis entitled "Teaching Students Who Have Special Needs: Inclusion Based". After I graduate, I plan on attending Texas State to get my Master of Science in Family and Child Studies and become a Child Life Specialist for a few years. After that, I plan on applying and attending a Physician Assistant school in Texas. Medicine is beautiful and I plan on using this art to enrich lives of children.

Why I Ride

I ride for my beautiful angel friend, Makenna Loerwald. She fought with all of her might for almost five years, but became an angel on February 17, 2014 at the age of 22. She taught me about life, love, and true happiness. She was and always will be one of the most beautiful souls that I have ever been blessed with being around. I will always cherish her contagious laugh, her bright smile, and her bubbly personality.
"Love is infinite"

I ride for Julie Reid. A mom, my aunt, a fighter, and an example of strength.

I also ride for Ronald Rossetti, Kalie Kubes, Tracy Ramacher, June Lubowinski, Allie Ciulla, Kodi Tutt, my Great Grandma Rosemary, my pops Carroll Goen, my Great Grandfather John Dale, Karen McCraw, my Great Grandfather John Dale, Blake Vizzone, Robbie Robison, Noele Madewell, and the wonderful Esther Rodriguez-Phelps.

I ride for anyone who has been touched by cancer, ever.
