About:

I am junior at the University of Texas and a proud member of the 2014 Texas 4000 for Cancer team. I a public relations major with a minor in business, and I plan on attending law school after my graduation in 2015. I am also a member of the Kappa Delta sorority.

Why I Ride

I have never personally fought cancer, but that is not to say that it has not had an impact on my life. My grandfather, my Pop, died of Carcinoma when I was seven years old, and unfortunately that would not be the last time Cancer infiltrated my family. During my junior year of high school my dad was diagnosed with Prostate Cancer. My dad is the strongest, most fearless man I know and that is he faced this new challenge. After a complete Prostatectomy, my dad has been cancer free for three years. Not a day goes by that I don’t think about how blessed my family is to have a Cancer success story, and with that how many families have suffered so much. In my eyes, Texas 4000 for Cancer provides the perfect opportunity to combat cancer and lessen the devastation it inflicts on our society. Please help me and my team to make a difference!
