Stillwater, OK

So as my first official journal entry. I would like to say that this trip has been awesome so far. Today we left Oklahoma City and rode in torrential rain along very confusing roads. The group got split up into about 3 different smaller groups all on different roads. All basically just trying to get out of Oklahoma. I was on a back road today and had my second fall/crash in 2 days. I was run off the road by an old pickup which then threw my bike off an embankment to a non-exsistent shoulder and threw me into a lane of oncoming traffic (of which there was luckily none.) Brandon came soon though as we were not far apart and helped assess and repair the damage. So in two days I have managed a couple bruised ribs from slamming my ribcage into a curb, a scraped up elbow, a massive bruise the size of my fist on the inside of my right thigh, a bruise running the length of my quad, and scraped knees. Not too bad. But I am loving the trip. The people we are meeting and the generosity is amazing. I love my teammates and the way that our mission which started only months ago is now a solid reality. So I will hopefully keep everyone updated on the "body count" and the sites we see along the way. Tomorrow we leave Oklahoma (Thank Goodness!) and are on our way to Kansas. For the concerned parents who might be reading this umm please send lots of homemade food and candy. Cookies! Anything and my orange sweatpants. I am fine part of my appetite is back and I am sort of eating and definatly sleeping. I have friends now and a few new developments which I am sure you will be interested in. Until later.... Hook 'Em!
