Love

Love builds up the broken wall and straightens the crooked path. Love keeps the stars in the firmament and imposes rhythm on the ocean tides. Each of us is created of it, and I suspect each of us was created for it. Life is full of challenges, but our family continues to thrive. That is because it is rooted deep in love. - Maya Angelou

My aunt Jennifer sent me a beautiful card with the above poem on it. Inside she wrote the following:

"I know that you will meet this challenge with your usual strength and resourcefulness. Broken ankles and mountains in your path will not deter you. I believe that you will conquer all obstacles, because you have your determination and the love God, family and friends on your side. Carpe diem."

Thanks to all those of you out there who've supported me these last couple weeks. Breaking a bone just before a big adventure like Texas 4000 is not much fun, but it's brought to light many things. I'm so excited about this summer! One more week and I'll be on a stationary bike. Sweet!

Oh, and last night I painted my toenails. Jus cuz my foot's messed up don't mean I cain't pretty it up. ;)
