by Thomas Neuman Jun 07, 2004 Day 4 I was feeling good today so I decided to ride with the fast group. Things started off fast and furious with about a 20-21 mph pace. In-between the first and second rest stops we got into a little crash. Dan rubbed Chris' back wheel and he ran into me, causing three more people behind me to fall. 20 mph crashes are not fun. I came out of it with some scratches, bumps, bruises, and 1 tacoed wheel. I borrowed someone else's wheel that wasn't riding so that I could finish the rest of the day. We finished the entire 84 miles, breaks included, in less than 5 hours. We are staying in a lodge in Post and have the entire thing to ourselves including the kitchen. I get a bed for the second night in a row so that it a tremendous plus. As soon as we got settled in and took showers we went over to the ACS Relay for Life where we were introduced and spoke to the many people who were there about cancer. Later on in the night some of us rode the mechanical bull. I wasn't one of them but you can see some of those pictures in the gallery section. I went back to the lodge at midnight and decided to get some rest after 4 straight days of riding.
