keep peadlin

When we did the ride to La Grange to volunteer for the MS150 back in April, we were headed out of town on Riverside and a man walking down the street yelled at us "just keep peadlin!" These words were echoing in my ears yesterday when I did my first century, another longest ride ever, totaling 108 miles. We arrived in Sherman, most of us exhausted, and were welcomed in the hospital we stayed in for the night. It was such a luxury to sleep in a real bed. I ate more pizza than I've ever eaten in my life. It was great. Thank you to the hospital and Nurse Kay for all their help and hospitality.

Today we crossed the Oklahoma state line and most of us arrived in better shape than we did in Sherman, with the exception of Paul, who took yet another fall just before the state line mid-sprint. But, fortunately, he didn't have to get stitches this time. Way to go Paul. Tonight we are staying in the YMCA in Ardmore. This evening we visited cancer patients in the neighboring hospital; it reminded many of us of the last time we were in the Oncology floor in a hospital, and of loved ones lost.

Back at the Y the staff aranged for us to have a yoga class, which was just what I needed. It's currently raining and the weather report looks a little rough; welcome to tornado alley. OOKkkLAhoma!
