This past weekend was the first official Texas 4000 event I was able to attend since I was in the hospital during Atlas, and it got me even more pumped up about riding to Alaska with such an awesome group of people. I've chatted with a few of the other riders previously, but this was the first time I was actually able to hang out and spend some decent time with them, a brief sample of the perpetual moments I'll be sharing with them next summer. I've still only met about half of my team, if even that, so I'm still stoked about meeting and getting to know better the rest of my comrades. I've been delighted to meet every one of them so far, even if it's only a few seconds of interaction with some of them. I've been lucky enough to spend a little more time with a few of them, and I can't wait to do it some more. We've got the first meeting of the semester tonight, so hopefully I'll get to know a few more riders tonight. I feel extremely proud to be a part of this team, and I'm excited and hopeful for our collective future together!
