Today we got back on the road but not quite. I forgot that I was sagging today and woke up late. We prepared slowly because we were not sure of the status of the forest fires. However, when we got the word, everything moved more quickly. Mama Z was an absolute pleasure to stay with. We became a welcome part of her family when we were there.

Andrea and I set up the first rest stop, but Natasha needed to be sagged to the hospital for an infection so we went right back to Mama Z's. She was suprised to see us but took us right in. After waiting for a few hours we were able to continue onto Jade City which is actually a gift shop. It was nothing special until a few kids invited us to a lake house. We alternated between a steam house and a freezing cold lake which felt fantastically refreshing. I went to bed feeling great.
