by John Fitch Jun 23, 2010 We are finally in the heart of Colorado. It is incredibly beautiful and I love it. We are currently in Boulder for a rest day. I don't have much time to type as much as I want to, but I will sum up Colorado in an epic journey that 5 guys and I embarked on yesterday. Mt Evans - The highest Paved road in North America. Alitidue of the peak - 14,270 ft. What started as little bike talk of trying to climb it would turn into a an actual reality. A few guys and I volunterred to plan a route up to the peak last minute. After coming up with a route late at night, we would leave the next morning at 6am. I can tell you that all 6 of us will tell you it is the greatest physical feat we have all completed. We started in downtown Denver and biked 69 miles to the summit. It took 12hrs of steady climbing. We started in Denver with 80 degrees and ended at the summit with 30 degrees in temp. You can put your mind to anything. I will have a detailed story about our climb and emotional adventure very soon. I need time to put everything together to decribe to you. Boulder is beautiful, John
