some final thoughts

this has definatly been an experience.

one year ago, the farthest i had ever ridden was 12 miles. in march the farthest was 40 miles on a mountain bike.

since the start of this ride on june 1

i have ridden an estimated 3800 miles

sagged 4 times (once frustration and 3 days for illness)

drove for 9 of the ride days

i shaved my head down to 0.5in (it has since grown into this mushroom thing i am not quite sure what to think of)

we went through 4 national parks and multiple state parks

i have camped more in the past month than i have in years

and have been working on my fear of going to the bathroom on the side of the road with nothing but a tree/shrub between me and the road

hung out with interesting people, met wonderful people and made plenty of memories

the team has had good and bad times

we have crashed, fought, had tons of meetings which drag on and on and on and on

members have also ridden and supported those having hard days, seen the lowest points and brought others back up and managed to survive intact with minimal damage after 70 days on the road - this is no small accomplishment

ok, these are not all my thoughts but it is a good start

i get back on the 13th at 1:20pm in austin

my first stop is going to be the capitol for lances #6 victory bash and then i think i deserve a margarita from trudys

thank you to all who supported us. this trip would not have been successful without yall. know this has been the experience of a life time for about 40 students who will remember this for the rest of their lives. and if we dont...between the pictures and videos there will be plenty of evidence to hold over people for years to come
