Night 3

Today was fine, i suppose. woke up at 8:30 and it was still raining. 8hrs of rain on my bikes, great. i rolled out of Bell II at about 9, with a bottle of milk in hand. finally, paved roads. yadda yadda, got to Prince George around 4:30-ish. the plan was to go to McBikes and see what the deal was with my shoes, then call Maggie and Richard and ask if i could stay at their place tonight, again. they're awesome hosts. well...McBikes was a bust.

called R & M a few times and no one answered. so i drove to their house, and waited a little while. after about an hour, Laurie, their neighbor, pulled in. i talked to her a little, and told her my situation. she called up the Girrards, who were nice enough to give me a bed. Laurie was nice enough to fix me a hamburger. mmmm...first meal since breakfast the day i left.

during and after eating, Laurie and i talked about the trip, and all that good stuff, then we decided it was time for me to head out (plus, Laurie has some plans for the evening). i went next door to see if R & M were home, and they were. so i got to thank them again for hosting us. after a cup of tea, i headed over to the Girards.

and here i am. with a real bed waiting for me, not to mention a shower.

TX4000 is feeling further and further away. gotta admit, i'm looking forward to next year's.
