Miles and Miles of Thanks

Training is fun. Training is a wonderful way to relieve stress. Training is sometimes tough. Training in the cold makes my toes a little unhappy. Training in the sun gives me tan lines. . .

I can go on and on about training, probably because I’m falling in love with cycling. Sometimes I get involved with the miles a bit much or think about if I’ll be able to make a ride today. However I always know why I’m riding. I am riding to hopefully one day be able to say that “cancer is a thing of the past”. Texas 4000 is getting more and more exciting every day. Summer is coming faster than I think. This excitement is also due to all my wonderful donors. I want to say thank you again for every single penny! I still have a ways to go before I hit $4500, but I still so appreciative by the amount I have received so far. Every donation has helped greatly towards reaching my goal. I really wish I had the means to go around and shake everyone’s hand with sincere gratitude. I would not be where I am and the journey for me would not exist if it was not for all of you who have contributed. Thank you so much everyone, you have been making my days!

(On a side note) The other day on a ride, one of my fellow riders said “On the Road Again.” It’s a great song:

And I can't wait to get on the road again.

On the road again -

Like a band of gypsies we go down the highway

We're the best of friends.

Insisting that the world keep turning our way

(Our team might not be gypsies, but the world will turn our way - and cancer will be a thing of the past someday.)
