Hill... What hill? I dont see no hill!

Updates on the whole Ladera Norte business:

Since my last blog, I've been back on the far west loop a couple more times and I can really feel my improvement going up that crazy hill. I'm breathing better and feeling stronger. My first time I had to stop multiple times (something like 6 or 8 i think, it's a little embarassing), but now I'm stoppin' once and once only. I'm no speed demon but hey, at least I am going up! Ladera Norte definitely didn't feel as steep the second and third times around, so maybe if I keep at it enough, I won't even see a slope anymore... Haha maybe not, but a kid can dream!

In other training news, I am really enjoying our longer rides on Saturday. It's a really nice way to explore this area and get away from academia for a little bit. Two weeks ago we did a forty miler down south and back and had some delicious tacos at our rest stop in Buda. Last Saturday we had a pretty rainy ride and came home with bikes and faces splattered with mud. I don't know what this week's Saturday ride will hold, but we've got 50 miles of sweat and happiness in store and I can't wait.

Less than 100 days until we leave... can you believe it?!

Unrelated PS: It snowed here in Austin on Tuesday (!), but it's back in the beautiful 50s and 60s now... Who knows!
