There are a little over 100 days til we leave for the summer!

Today we are recruiting members for the 2011 team, so I have been sending the application around this morning.

Hearing my team try to recruit new members reminds me of my own experience writing the application. I think it was one of the best applications I have ever written because of how much I thought about it before actually starting it. I remember watching Texas 4000 YouTube videos to get in the zone. It was an emotional process for me, but writing the application was really the first step. I was forced to dig down deep into my feelings and even scarier, open up to my family and friends about why I wanted to apply.

I'm hoping the people working on their applications now are going through similar processes, because it really is a time of challenges, discovery, and deep thought.
