Day 66 - Northway to Tok (55 mi)

So after such a tough day yesterday, as Joel and I were walking to the showers, I had casually prayed with him for some sunshine (yesterday was quite miserable), and lo and behold, Lance peeks his head in at 6:00am to wake us up with “guy’s it’s sunny and bright outside—not a cloud in sight.” I laughed and could not believe my ears! Indeed, the sun was up, weather was a bit chilly but not too bad. We had a hearty breakfast, cleaned our bikes from the grime which had accumulated in the rainy weather and headed out towards Tok

All in all, the day was a beautiful ride. I got to ride with a bunch of lovely Rockies ladies (and Navar), and could not have had more fun.

At one point, Susan Linn, even veered off road on accident and ended up alright… check this out!

It was just such a beautiful day, I had this huge grin on my face all day. Answered prayer! This is how Alaska is meant to be seen:

Then we just got silly—this is Carolina and Emma trying to ride some of the biggest bikes on the team:

Soon we pulled into this—like an oasis en route to Anchorage.

And we got bread bowls with our food!

It was truly delicious. 4 more days!!! Til then…
