Yesterday was our $1,000 deadline and I am pleased to say that I have surpassed the minimum amount. After writing and printing all of my donation letters, I knew I wanted to add a more personal touch rather than just mailing them. I chose to deliver each letter in person. I took advantage of the summer and gave all of my letters to potential donors. I was very well received. Many of the people I talked to already knew of my involvement in Texas 4000. All of the people I visited asked many questions which I was happy to answer. Because of these donors, I have met my first deadline. Just yesterday I received personal notification from two people that they had donated that day. I am happy to have the support of so many people.
