Day 63 - Destruction Bay to Lake Creek (66 mi)

Today's ride was a "refreshing ride." It rained nearly all ride, and I got completely soaked, but it was indeed refreshing. I rode most of the day int he back, either with Emily & Colin or with Lance & Andrew (the sweeps for the day). One thing I hadn't mentioned before is that when we bumped into the Rockies, it seemed like they were a much closer group than we were. but Sarah shared with Emily a thought today that I think is interesting and partially true. Our fraternity is not encapsulated in traditions or T4k related rituals, rather just the relationships--unconditional and genuine friendships. I'm glad Emily is on our team. She has a really great heart. AS for the rest of the day, I had a chance to ride with Zaid and Lance and just catch up with my Sierra bros--always pleasant.

For dinner, the sags Mike & Rich cooked us a spaghetti dinner and it was really really good! Then I pent ht evening playing cards with Jan and Andrew--just catching up with my Asian buds. Soon, it started raining and so I headed back to my tent ASAP to read and relax a bit. Today's 66 miles was nice and relaxing--and we ARE one day closer to Anchorage which is super exciting. Tonight, we tent up and it's pouring on my tent at 10:00pm while it's still bright outside. Crazy right? Here's Canada for you. Peace & Love from the Yukon.
