Day 26 - Yosemite Rest Day (0 mi)

“Yosemite Valley, to me, is always a sunrise, a glitter of green and golden wonder in a vast edifice of stone and space.”

Today was a great day of wandering, exploring, and seeing breathtaking sights. We kicked off the morning with spontaneous dip into one of the rivers in Yosemite. The water w as seriously like 50 degrees—FREEZING COLD. Nevertheless, it was a great way to wake up, as the water was clear, I was in good company, and the river was so refreshing (having not showered in a few days now).

Soon afterwards, we came upon the Bridalveil Falls, absolutely beautiful and climbable. Lance, David, and I journeyed to the baby waterfall pool and chilled up there.

We finished the day by journeying to the Sequoia forest in Mariposa Grove at the southern region of the park. These were some humongous trees! By this time, we were all pretty pooped—nevertheless, it was definitely a cool thing to check out if you’re ever in Yosemite.

Next time, we shall conquer the Half Dome (a 14 mile hike for which one would need to start at 5 am). Until then! Also, please pray for continued teamwork and safety for our riders!
