by Michael West Jun 01, 2004 So, I wake up early, with energy at my Aunt Julies house have an amazing breakfast that kept me going all day and head down to the tower. I want to thank every one who came down to the send off this morning, it was a very special time for me. It was hard to part ways with half of the team that I have been working with for the past 6months on the trip, but Suchin had the great idea to have everyone line up with their teams and shake hands ( I actuallly did more hugging) baseball style before we parted ways. The ride was great and really hot, but the just made it seem like summer to me. I ate an amazing amount of pastries for lunch. Big shout out to Martina and Dan for taking the driveing responsibilities for today, bcs. I know that they wnated to ride. Our hosts here in Temple were great, and my parents came up from Killeen to see me. Tho0ugh I did not get to talk to you all much, it reallly was great to see you all one last time. If you read this, send me a picture of you so I can put it in my written juounal. We did our first cancer awareness presentation today, adn I shared with the group my reason for riding. Time to sleep at the Jacksons house. Good bye and I will be thinking about you all.
